Encouraging personal responsibility and upward mobility of residents remains an important mission for the Housing Authority of the City of Charleston. By working with service providers and educational agencies throughout the Charleston area and by pursuing grant funding, CHA strives to assist residents in developing the skills needed to make a better life for themselves and their families. Current programs available to public housing and Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program participants include Resident Councils, Youth Programs, Senior Programs, Family Self-Sufficiency, and After School Tutoring.
All public housing neighborhood are staffed with full time Program Specialists who coordinate services, activities, and programs for residents. Please contact your Management Office to enquire about these programs.
