Announcement: Residents

Current Residents for any program with the Housing Authority of the City of Charleston:

We invite you to register for our online portal.  If you are an existing resident on any program with the Housing Authority of the City of Charleston you will receive an email AND letter, sent to the information we have on file for you, inviting you to register at our new website housing.chacity.org.  You will need that email or letter to register.

You will use the portal to:

• Update your contact information.
• Review your income, assets, and other household information.
• Review your billing statement and tenant ledger.
• Pay your rent or tenant charges – IN MULTIPLE NEW WAYS
• Process certifications online.
• LOW INCOME PUBLIC HOUSING RESIDENTS WILL also be able to submit and review maintenance requests

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the increasingly high cost of postage, we will no longer be mailing billing statements after the end of February 2025. 

This notice gives you over 60 days to register for the new portal at https://housing.chacity.org where you will be able to access your billing statement and ledger at your convenience.
