Development – Archer School Apartments

The Housing Authority of the City of Charleston will be accepting ONLINE preliminary applications for the Project Based Vouchers for Archer School Apartments (55 years and older only).

The designated date will be the ONLY day available to apply.

Thursday, February 27, 2025: One (1)  and Two (2) Bedrooms

Online applications will start at 12:00 Noon and remain open until each waitlist has been filled or 1:00 pm EST., whichever occurs first.

**MUST REGISTER ON PORTAL TO APPLY FOR THE WAITLIST**

Those wishing to apply must complete the online application at chacity.org  during the designated timeframe. No applications will be accepted by mail, fax, or e-mail.  If you are an existing resident on any program or current waiting list applicant with the Housing Authority of the City of Charleston you will receive an email AND letter, sent to the information we have on file for you, inviting you to register at our new website housing.chacity.org.  You will need that email or letter to register.

You may complete your online application by cell phone, tablet, or computer with internet access or Wi-Fi.

If you are a person who is unable to complete an online application due to a physical or mental impairment, such as blindness, amputation (hands), etc., please call The Housing Authority of the City of Charleston on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, between the hours of 10:00 am and 12:00 pm to complete a phone screening for a reasonable accommodation at (843) 377-1818.
